This position is open in any one of the following three locations: Burnaby, BC, Edmonton, AB or Calgary, AB.
What You’ll Do
- Provide full-cycle HR leadership and support, from onboarding through offboarding, ensuring a positive and consistent employee experience.
- Partner with leaders and employees to foster engagement, growth, and performance across all levels.
- Manage employee relations with discretion and fairness, ensuring compliance with all applicable employment legislation.
- Lead and collaborate on initiatives in compensation, benefits, leaves, and HR policy development.
- Drive recruitment efforts to attract and hire top talent, supporting hiring managers across diverse departments.
- Maintain HR systems and reporting to ensure accurate data and actionable insights for decision-making.
- Stay current on employment law trends and HR best practices, particularly within Alberta and British Columbia.
- Support the rollout of HR programs that strengthen culture, productivity, and retention.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation in HR processes and the overall employee experience.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR leadership experience; experience in Alberta and/or British Columbia strongly preferred.
- HR designation (CPHR or equivalent) is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of provincial and federal employment laws and HR best practices—experience in healthcare or multi-site environments is ideal.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills paired with high emotional intelligence.
