Overview
EarlyON Child and Family Centres are places where parents, caregivers and, children build strong relationships with each other and connect with other families and EarlyON professionals. Offering a variety of programs and services that meet the unique needs of children and families in an inclusive environment. We provide resources and workshops with up-to-date information for all stages of family life, from preconception and prenatal care to nutrition, toilet training, toddler curiosity, and early school experiences.
What you’ll do
- Deliver the EarlyON Core services through developmental program planning
- Participate with the children, caregivers, and families in a positive and supportive manner
- Refer families to appropriate community services and resources based on their needs
- Facilitate both child and parent education workshops
- Support and work as part of a staff/volunteer team
- Maintain a safe, diverse, and stimulating physical environment within the centre
- Enter monthly stats for the Region of Niagara
- Manage weekly scheduling for staff
- Recruitment and interview new staff for the centre
- Manage petty cash
- Attend regional EarlyOn meetings and workshops
Preferred qualifications
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or related diploma/degree
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children and families
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral
- Flexibility, relationship building, and problem-solving skills
- Transportation is an asset
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification will be required upon hire
- Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.75-$23.55 per hour
Expected hours: 32.5 per week
