Job Description
The
Director of Operations, Urology (North) leads all operational aspects of a defined region of Chesapeake Urology Associates. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality outpatient services across multiple offices while supporting and developing Site Managers to run their locations effectively.
This leader works closely with clinical and administrative teams to implement consistent processes, solve operational challenges, and support the growth and performance of the market.
This is a hybrid role, requiring regular travel to clinical offices and headquarters to maintain alignment, presence, and strong relationships across teams.
Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day and long-term operations across the assigned region, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Implement and monitor operational policies, procedures, and standards to promote efficiency and scalability.
- Serve as a liaison between site managers, physicians, and executive leadership to maintain alignment and communication.
- Ensure appropriate management of medical equipment, supplies, facilities, and other operational resources.
- Advocate for patients, families, physicians, and staff in operational matters.
Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor and develop site managers to enhance leadership capabilities, operational expertise, and strategic thinking.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and engagement across the regional teams.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure achievement of regional goals and objectives.
Financial & Performance Management
- Monitor regional P&L, budgets, and Net Operating Income performance.
- Analyze operational metrics and key performance indicators, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Partner with the Senior Director of Operations to evaluate new initiatives and drive operational growth.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration
- Support long-term planning and deployment of initiatives across the region.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Operations, other departments, and executive leadership to resolve operational challenges.
- Identify and implement strategies for revenue generation, expense reduction, and the effective execution and optimization of programs.
Other Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with providers to understand operational needs and build strong relationships.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Senior Director of Operations.
- Travel regularly within the region to ensure alignment and strong presence across offices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field required; a graduate degree such as Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or Public Health is preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience in outpatient urology, multispecialty, or high-volume clinical operations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple offices, drive operational consistency, and develop Site Managers and regional teams.
- Experienced in process improvement, workflow optimization, and operational strategy.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, capable of collaborating effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and administrative teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, patient care standards, and financial oversight.

Tech Requirements For The Job
- High-speed, reliable internet connection to ensure uninterrupted communication and access to necessary systems and tools.
- Quiet and private work environment to maintain the confidentiality of patient information and minimize background noise during calls.
- Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools, such as video conferencing software, instant messaging platforms, and customer relationship management systems.
- Compliance with all security and privacy policies and protocols, including safeguarding patient information and maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $115,000 - $140,000 annually
Actual compensation offered to candidates is based on work experience, education, skill level, and geographic location. Compensation may vary depending on the state or region in which the position is located, in accordance with applicable laws.
