Queen Square Family Health Team (QSFHT) provides accessible, equitable, patient-centered primary care to its local community. A team of talented interdisciplinary healthcare professionals (IHP) works collaboratively with Queen Square Doctors, and together, we serve 35,000 patients annually. We offer a wide range of programs and services including diabetes care, seniors’ wellness, palliative care, mental health, maternal and children’s health, and gender affirming care. We are seeking a dedicated, patient-centered, and highly skilled part time or full time Chiropodist to join our IHP team. This role involves delivering a full range of exceptional chronic disease related and preventative foot care to patients of QSFHT in accordance with best practices, and standards of the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ foot disorders or dysfunctions and lower limb conditions through detailed examinations, medical histories and diagnostic test
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Provide expert advice on foot health, footwear selection and proper foot care practices to prevent future complications
- Educate patients on proper foot hygiene, exercise, and preventive measures to promote overall foot health
- Prescribing pharmacological therapies within scope of practice (i.e. compounding, oral medications etc.)
- Administer modalities such as Low-Level Laser Therapy for treatment of tendinitis, soft tissue strains, sprains, injuries, arthritis, wound care to improve wound healing and reduce inflammation etc., and Infrared Light Therapy (ToeFx) used for treatment of fungal nail infection
- Administer appropriate treatments, such as trimming and shaping nails, removing calluses and corns, providing basic lower limb wound care as well as performing soft tissue surgical procedures including injection of prescribed medication (as required)
- Collaborate with fellow chiropodists and / or other members of the IHP team to ensure comprehensive patient care and health outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting assessments, treatments and progress in accordance with medical standards and regulations
- Ensure all clinical equipment is in satisfactory operating condition and follow safe working practices
- Monitor and manage supplies and inventory necessary for clinic operation in collaboration with fellow chiropodists and the administrative team
- Uphold high ethical standards and patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Bachelor of Science and/or Graduate of an accredited school of Podiatry or Chiropody
- Minimum of 2 -3 years of clinical experience; primary care experience is an asset
- Registration with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario is required
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- Knowledge and experience in chronic disease management, diabetes foot care, preventative care, population, community, and primary care health

- Comfortable with electronic documentation and use of technology (QSFHT's EMR is Accuro EHR)

- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams and Zoom Conferencing platforms and the ability to learn and adapt to new online tools as they become available
- See value and able to work effectively as a collaborative team member
