Are you an experienced Urologist looking for a new challenge? NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Locum Consultant Urologist to join our dynamic North & Clyde Urology team, delivering both emergency and elective urological care across multiple hospital sites.
Key Details
- Location: North & Clyde Sector (including Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Stobhill ACH, Victoria ACH, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Inverclyde Royal Hospital, Vale of Leven Hospital)
- Contract: Fixed Term, 6 months (opportunities to become a substantive member of the team)
- Salary: £111,430 £148,064 per annum (pro rata)
- Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week (pro rata if applicable)
- On-call: 1 in 14 weekends
About The Role
- Provide comprehensive general and specialist urology services within a hub and spoke model.
- Participate in an integrated consultant rota for emergency care.
- Develop a subspecialty interest to complement the department.
- Supervise junior staff, contribute to audit, teaching, and research.
- Work within a supportive team of 16 Consultant Urologists, specialist nurses, and trainees.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
- Higher specialist training in Urology (CCT or CESR, or within 6 months of completion).
- Proven experience in general and acute urology.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
