Key Responsibilities
- Operating Room Preparation:Setting up the surgical suite with necessary equipment and supplies for gynecological procedures.
- Surgical Assistance:Collaborating closely with surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, ensuring a sterile field is maintained.
- Patient Monitoring:Continuously monitoring patient vital signs, condition, and reactions during and after surgery.
- Post-Operative Care:Providing immediate post-operative care, including wound care and pain management, and educating patients on recovery at home.
- Sterile Environment:Strictly adhering to aseptic techniques to prevent infection and maintain a sterile environment in the OR.
- Documentation:Accurately documenting all aspects of patient care, including surgical procedures, medications, and patient responses.
- Patient & Family Education:Educating patients and their families about the surgical process, what to expect during recovery, and post-operative care instructions.
- Patient Advocacy:Acting as a patient advocate, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected throughout their surgical journey.
