💡 Role Overview
As an L&D Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of both mother and baby—from labor through postpartum transition.
🩸 Key Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, track labor progression, and assist physicians or midwives throughout delivery.
- Perform newborn assessments (Apgar scoring, vital signs, physical checks) and provide guidance on feeding and newborn care.
- Administer prescribed medications and manage pain relief while monitoring for any side effects or complications.
- Support the postpartum transition, coordinating seamless handoffs to the postpartum unit and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Provide compassionate education and emotional support to new parents during their hospital stay.
✅ Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience
- Floating to Postpartum required
- Experience with Magnesium Sulfate
- BSN required
