Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Berkeley, CA 94705 (California healthcare job)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse, On-Site
- Unit: Labor and Delivery (L&D RN), with float to Antepartum as needed
- Start Date: October 27, 2025
- End Date: January 26, 2026
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2400-$2570
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License (must have at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Certifications (all AHA):
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN)
- Epic EMR charting experience preferred
- Available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
- Ability to float to Antepartum unit as needed
- Must meet 50-mile travel nurse requirement
- Only one holiday off approved during contract Labor and Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients from admission through discharge, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compassionate support
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, interpret fetal heart tracings, and respond to obstetric emergencies
- Assist with high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum care
- Float to Antepartum unit as required to provide clinical support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic (preferred)
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Participate in orientation and complete required e-learning modules
