Position Summary
We're looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our pediatric clinic team. Reporting to our Clinic Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting our physicians and providing personalized care to our patients. You’re someone who’s proactive, eager to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’re a clear communicator, a problem-solver, and you know how to make patients and parents/guardians feel at ease. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Clinical Care
- Welcoming children and families and preparing them for exams using child-friendly approaches
- Take pediatric vital signs and complete age-appropriate initial assessments (growth measurements, head circumference, developmental/feeding/sleep screens)
- Administer immunizations, medications, and treatments as prescribed
- Specimen collection
- Wound care, suture removal, dressing changes
- Support physicians during procedures
- Maintaining infection control standards and sterilization protocols
- Monitoring vaccine storage, inventory, and clinic hygiene
Administrative Support
- Assisting with new patient intake and records
- Communicating lab and test results to patients in a professional and supportive manner
- Keeping medical supplies organized and exam rooms stocked
- Supporting general office duties (phones, filing, scanning, faxing)
- Updating records in our EMR system (OSCAR Pro)
- Joining team meetings and sharing ideas that help us grow
You Have
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program and current registration as an RPN in Ontario
- CPR certification
- Comfortable with technology—especially Microsoft Office and EMR systems (OSCAR Pro experience is a bonus!)
- Strong communication skills
- Proof of liability insurance as required by RPNAO
