Qualifications and Skills
- ICU experience (Mandatory skill): Proven ability to provide care for critically ill patients, manage emergencies, and handle advanced medical equipment in the ICU.
- HDU expertise (Mandatory skill): Demonstrated skills in High Dependency Unit, effectively monitoring and supporting patients requiring intensive observation.
- MICU exposure: Experience in Medical Intensive Care Unit, managing adult patients with various complex medical conditions.
- General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM): Completed GNM diploma or equivalent, enabling sound nursing judgment and procedural competence.
- Registered Nurse certification: Current license with the Nursing Council, ensuring legal practice and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Nursing skills: Proficient in administering medications, injections, IV therapy, wound care, and patient documentation.
- Effective communication: Ability to interact professionally with doctors, patients, and families for seamless delivery of healthcare services.
- Team collaboration: Skilled in working cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vitals, administer medications, and assist in managing patients in ICU and HDU settings.
- Deliver comprehensive bedside care, including critical assessments and timely interventions for improved patient recovery.
- Support physicians and implement treatment plans aligned with physician directives and hospital protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records, care plans, and ensure adherence to clinical standards at all times.
- Communicate patient status and progress to healthcare teams and family members with empathy and clarity.
- Participate actively in infection control practices and adhere strictly to safety and hygiene regulations.
- Prepare and operate medical equipment, monitoring devices, and life-saving systems as required.
- Promote a patient-centered environment through compassion, ethical care, and thoughtful engagement.
