Research Fellow, 2026 SUHI Equity Research Fellowship Program
Unpaid with $10,000 Stipend Sinai Urban Health Institute (SUHI), the community research center of Sinai Chicago, is dedicated to improving the health of Chicago’s most vulnerable communities. SUHI achieves this by identifying health inequities, addressing these inequities with innovative solutions, and rigorously evaluating the work to ensure effectiveness. Now in its 8th year, the SUHI Equity Research Fellowship Program is designed to strengthen research and collaboration among scientists and universities who share our focus.
Fellows collaborate on studies, proposals, and other equity-related projects. Deliverables are jointly developed based on current SUHI needs and opportunities, as well as the Fellow’s interests and career goals. The program runs from January 1 – December 31, 2026.
**This is a stipend-based opportunity. Fellows will receive a $10,000 stipend for their participation.**
Current priorities include, but are not limited to, the following areas of expertise:
- Health economics/cost effectiveness
- Maternal and child health
- Mental health and psychosocial wellbeing
- Assessing community health
- Neighborhood-level determinants of health/spatial analysis
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- PhD (or equivalent terminal degree) -
- Be on the faculty at any US college or university (all work can be done remotely)
