Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and wound care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in the management of patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
- Provide support in critical situations, including triage and acute pain management.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing; additional experience in critical care or emergency medicine is preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
- Familiarity with various nursing practices including dialysis, hospice & palliative medicine, geriatrics, and trauma medicine.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, phlebotomy, and airway management.
- Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating strong communication skills. Pay: $1,772.81 - $2,300.00 per week
