The Vancouver Island Health Authority Department of Maternity Care & Pediatrics has a part-time (0.5 FTE) Maternal Fetal Medicine position in Victoria. We seek a candidate who is able to provide maternal-fetal medicine services in collaboration with three other colleagues. Clinical duties include Perinatology clinic, fetal diagnosis and some procedures as well as management of high risk inpatient unit.
This hospital provides the highest levels of both maternal and neonatal care including a neonatal surgical program, full service NICU and care of critical maternal illness and trauma.
Affiliated with the University of British Columbia, and the Island Medical Program, responsibilities of this position include direct clinical care with teaching of medical students and residents. Interested physicians can also be involved in teaching specialty residents and fellows through the UBC residency programs.
Eligible applicants must hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Obstetrics/Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine and must be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
