Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sonography with expertise in maternal-fetal medicine and Ob/Gyn. This role is crucial for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services, ensuring patient safety, and delivering exceptional patient care. The Ultrasonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, including obstetric and gynecological studies, adhering to established protocols.
- Utilize medical imaging equipment to capture accurate images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to effectively communicate findings.
- Apply aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety and infection control.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss imaging results and contribute to patient care plans.
- Provide compassionate patient care, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the imaging process.
- Document all procedures accurately in the patient's medical record, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology and sonography techniques through continuous education.
Requirements
- Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent is required.
- Strong knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine and Ob/Gyn practices is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and equipment operation.
- Solid understanding of anatomy knowledge and physiology relevant to ultrasound procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
