Join Our Team as a Clinical Nurse – Specialising in Stoma Care

About the Role:
As the Clinical Nurse – Stoma Nurse, you will provide specialised nursing services and manage a defined caseload of patients requiring stoma care across a variety of health care settings. In this role, you will supply advanced clinical knowledge, act as a professional resource to colleagues, and take accountability for your own practice standards as well as activities delegated to others. You will also play an important part in mentoring and guiding less experienced staff, helping to build capability and confidence within the team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Relevant post graduate qualifications or (working towards) in stoma therapy nursing or equivalent.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience with stomal therapy
- Experience in the use of computer packages e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.

Applicant Information
This is a part time vacancy, working 32 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
