Together Women's Health Imaging Center, a practice partner of
Together Women's Health, is seeking a contingent
Mammography/Breast Ultrasound Technician.
The
Technician will be responsible for performing high-quality mammograms and breast ultrasound examinations.
Contingent position to work evenings and Saturdays.
- MQSA reporting
- Greets all patients courteously and ensures that their needs are met
- Reviews patient identification and verifies physician order
- Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of imaging procedures, explaining equipment, and answering questions
- Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms
- Performs Screening and Diagnostic ultrasounds
- Reviews images, makes initial observations, documents exceptions from established protocols and communicates data to physician
- Maximizes production and quality of ultrasounds by following established standards and procedures
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures
- Documents patient ultrasound services by completing patient record charting
- MQSA reporting experience
- ARRT certification in Mammography and ARDMS certification in breast required.
- Must meet ARRT(R)(M) requirements for exam counts and CME
- Two - Three years of mammography experience and breast ultrasound imaging
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with patients in a professional and caring manner
- Familiarity with ACR/FDA accreditation practices and regulations required
- Ability to accurately position the patient for imaging according to ACR standards
- Utilize techniques to physically manipulate and apply accessories to produce desired images
- Ability to select technical factors and operate imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images
- Proficiency in operating mammography and ultrasound equipment.
- Basic computer literacy and applications for data entry and records maintenance
- Ability to recognize life threatening conditions and implement basic life sustaining actions
- Maintain BLS certification
- Strong organizational skills; must be able to manage and prioritize multiple workstreams and patient interactions simultaneously
- Exhibit behavior which emphasizes quality, loyalty, conscientiousness, and professionalism
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift 20lbs throughout the day
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with patients and team members in a professional and caring manner
