Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, assisting patients with their inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.

We are a small private practice, primarily serving the Jewish community. We work off of paper charts { no EMR system}. WE DO NOT OFFER ANY BENEFITS !

We match IRA at 3% on your 1 year anniversary. Along with 40hrs of PTO.

Shift details:

Mondays: 12:00pm-8:00pm
Tuesdays: 11:00am-7:00pm
Wednesdays: 9:00am-5:00pm
Thursdays: 9:00am-5:00pm
Fridays:7:30am-3:30pm

Duties

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
Verify patient insurance information, including Medicare coverage and other relevant details.
Maintain accurate patient records, including care plans and medical histories using computerized systems.
Handle incoming calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing patient inquiries.
Process patient forms and documentation, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and standards.
Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate effective communication regarding patient care and appointments.
Assist in managing office supplies and maintaining an organized reception area.
Processing prescriptions.
Filing paper charts.
Data entry.

Experience

Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Proficient in using computerized systems for scheduling and record management.
Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience with escribe in order to process prescriptions.
