Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, patient service, and clinical procedures. Experience in various medical settings such as dermatology, urgent care, and hospital medicine is highly desirable.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and in office procedures.
- Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history.
- Utilize EHR systems for accurate patient record management and ICD coding.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries, phone calls and ensuring a comfortable experience.
- Administer medications and/or vaccinations as directed by healthcare provider
- Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms
- Assist with patient Check In and Check Out- scheduling appointments when needed
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with EHR systems is preferred; familiarity with ICD coding is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with patients and healthcare staff.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
