Locum - Physician - OB/GYN Opportunity in Grass Valley, CA
Join our dedicated medical team in Grass Valley, California, a charming city nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills. This position is located within a hospital setting that boasts a Family Birthing Center, complete with its own operating room for C-sections. The facility enjoys a vibrant community and is known for providing exceptional care with a supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle deliveries, including an average of 23-30 deliveries per month.
- Perform C-sections and provide ED call coverage for OB/GYN-related issues.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, general surgeons, and local OB/GYNs.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management.
- Demonstrate competencies in required procedures as outlined.
Qualifications:
- Current certification or active participation leading to certification in obstetrics and gynecology from an accredited board.
- Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Performance of at least 100 gynecological surgical procedures in the past two years or completion of a hospital-affiliated fellowship.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified OBGYN or Board Eligible within 5 years - Required
- Active California Medical License - Required
- DEA Registration - Required during credentialing
- Clean Malpractice History - Preferred
- Availability upon name clearance - Required
