Join our team! BOGG (Baystate Ob/Gyn Group, Inc.) is seeking an experienced, skilled certified medical assistant for a full time, Monday - Friday position.
Our practice is a great place to expand your certified medical assisting skills working as a member of our dynamic ob/gyn healthcare team! Prior experience in ob/gyn is not required but preferred. If you are great at providing patient care with the ability to work efficiently with patients and staff using an electronic medical record, please apply to work for us! You will enjoy being part of our team providing optimal care to women. Certified Medical Assistant duties in our ob/gyn practice include:
- Prepares charts to facilitate an efficient work-up of the ob/gyn patient.
- Takes patient’s history, blood pressure, height, weight and vital signs.
- Performs routine in-office laboratory testing.
- Prepares patient for examination/treatment/procedures.
- Maintains exam rooms, lab areas and equipment; sets up rooms and instruments for examinations and procedures.
- Manages patient flow to ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner.
- Informs receptionists and providers of problems and delays and contributes to solutions.
- Assists providers in examination/procedure rooms, maintaining awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments following approved practice techniques.
- Properly cleans and sterilizes all instruments and equipment, examination/procedure rooms and lab areas.
- Maintains adequate supplies for examination and lab areas.
- Actively participates in teamwork and in quality improvement activities.
- Attends and participates in MA and staff meetings; identifies problems and contributes to the problem resolution process.
- Offers suggestions and ideas for improvements.
