The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) serves as the Group’s leading medical authority, responsible for harmonizing clinical standards and elevating patient outcomes across FutureLife’s network of ~50 clinics in 16+ countries. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the CMO will ensure that FutureLife delivers consistent, world-class fertility care, while driving innovation, scientific excellence, and measurable improvements.
You'll work at both strategic and operational levels – partnering with medical directors, clinicians, embryologists, and our executive leadership team to ensure the very best for our patients.
What You’ll Lead:
Clinical Standards & Harmonization
- Define and implement gold-standard clinical practices across the group
- Ensure alignment with international guidelines (ESHRE, ASRM)
- Oversee SOPs, audits, and benchmarking
Medical Outcomes & Performance
- Own and track key KPIs – especially take-home baby rate (THBR)
- Drive data-based performance improvements across all clinics
- Balance innovation and standardization with local teams
Data, Analytics & Insights
- Partner with Data & Transformation teams to ensure transparent, actionable reporting
- Translate clinical data into insights and evidence-based strategies
Research, Innovation & Medical Advisory Board
- Co-lead the Medical Advisory Board (MAB) and set group-wide medical priorities
- Promote research, education, and FutureLife’s presence in global conferences
- Guide investments in new technologies and protocols
Medical Leadership & Representation
- Represent FutureLife within the global fertility community
- Engage with professional bodies and influence medical policy
- Ensure the medical voice is fully integrated in group strategy
Clinic Support & Engagement
- Provide direct support to local medical leaders, especially in underperforming clinics
- Promote collaboration and learning across geographies
- Keep patients at the heart of all clinical decisions
What You Bring:
✔ Proven leadership in reproductive medicine, with 15+ years of senior experience in IVF or related fields
✔ Recognized ESHRE member and respected academic clinician
✔ Strong background in clinical data, quality assurance, and governance
✔ Passion for standardization and clinical excellence
✔ Ability to travel extensively (up to 60–70%) across Europe
✔ Outstanding communication skills and stakeholder influence
✔ Fluency in English; other European languages are a plus
Education & Professional Qualification
- Medical Degree (MD) with specialization in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Reproductive Medicine, or Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) is essential.
- PhD or equivalent academic research degree preferred, with a strong publication record in reproductive medicine.
- Board certification (or national equivalent) in reproductive endocrinology/infertility strongly desired.
- Proven track record of clinical excellence with at least 15 years of senior medical leadership experience in IVF or fertility clinics.
- Demonstrated academic credibility (publications, invited speaker roles, participation in international conferences such as ESHRE/ASRM).
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and engagement with leading fertility societies (e.g., ESHRE, ASRM, national societies).
