Women’s Health Connecticut is currently seeking a Full-time, Registered Nurse for the Mansfield office with OBGYN & Midwifery of Connecticut!

Employment: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:30am- 5:00pm
Reports to: Practice Manager
Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides and coordinates patient care with the practice location. The RN educates and advises patients and gives emotional support to patients and their families. The RN is “hands on” with performing physical examinations and diagnostic tests, helping perform minor in-office procedures, collecting lab work, and triages phone calls for the Providers.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Nursing liaison between patients and health care professionals
- Patient history intake/ assessment and preparation
- Assist physicians as needed during patient visits with physical exam or procedures
- Advise patients of recommended actions/course of treatment as directed by physicians
- Medication administration
- Lab assessment/data collection
- Document patient care and results in medical record in concise and timely manner
- Advanced telephone triage functions
- Additional duties requested by management, as needed.
Skills/qualifications:
- Current CT RN license, is required.
- Experience in an out-patient practice or hospital setting, is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of OB/GYN or Women’s Health nursing experience, is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Passion towards providing upstanding patient care
