Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our healthcare team. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders, with a focus on OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, and general imaging
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process clearly, and ensure patient comfort throughout the exam
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality
- Analyze technical information and produce accurate medical images for physician review
- Provide preliminary observations to physicians when appropriate
- Maintain accurate patient records and uphold confidentiality standards
- Follow quality assurance protocols and safety guidelines
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience
- Proven experience in OB/GYN ultrasound imaging
- ARDMS Certification required
- BLS Certification required
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting ultrasound equipment
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and sonographic principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare staff
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $63.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
