We are seeking a compassionate and skilled
IVF Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fertility team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in women’s health, outstanding communication skills, and a passion for patient-centered care. As an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, you will support patients through every phase of fertility treatment, including education, emotional support, and clinical coordination.
Responsibilities
Patient Education & Communication
- Provide instruction on self-administered injections and medication protocols.
- Educate patients about treatment options and planned cycles.
- Communicate timely instructions as treatment progresses.
- Offer therapeutic support and guidance throughout treatment.
- Deliver pregnancy test results with empathy and clarity.
- Encourage and counsel patients through completion of their fertility journey.
Cycle Coordination & Case Management
- Conduct new patient consults and initiate individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with physicians to design and update treatment protocols.
- Manage fertility medication orders and tracking.
- Complete patient readiness checklists and ensure timely documentation.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in electronic systems (RESource, Athena, Shared Drive).
Clinical Care & Assessment
- Perform in-person and phone assessments.
- Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
- Interpret lab and diagnostic results.
- Obtain vital signs and informed consents when needed.
- Support recovery room operations as required.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following protocols and infection control standards.
- Adhere to OSHA, medication storage, and controlled substance regulations.
- Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA at all times.
- Follow all clinical and administrative guidelines to ensure high-quality care.
Team Collaboration
- Maintain and update patient charts, stimulation sheets, and visit documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate clinical issues as needed.
- Make internal referrals and support cross-functional care.
- Provide weekend, holiday, and satellite office coverage as assigned.
Qualifications
- RN with current state license (required); BSN preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in women’s health or OB/GYN; IVF experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and counseling skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and general office technology.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and travel to satellite offices.
