We, Protouch Staffing Private Limited, India, are seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery Charge Nurse for our client, a government facility in Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing and coordinating care for women during labor and delivery, as well as managing the labor and delivery unit. The Charge Nurse will play a key leadership role in providing high-quality care while ensuring that the department runs smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.RESPONSIBILTIES:•Lead and manage the Labor & Delivery team, including Registered Nurses (RNs), support staff, and residents.•Oversee the daily operations of the labor and delivery unit, ensuring effective patient care delivery and unit efficiency.•Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing mentorship, training, and support as needed.•Develop and implement patient care plans for laboring women, ensuring individualized care that meets the medical and emotional needs of patients and families.•Monitor and assess the progress of labor, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and responding to any complications or emergencies.•Assist with vaginal deliveries, perform emergency procedures, and provide assistance in cesarean sections when required.•Ensure that all equipment, instruments, and medications are available, properly maintained, and ready for use during deliveries.•Maintain communication with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure collaborative care during labor and delivery.•Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families, ensuring a compassionate and supportive environment.•Lead quality improvement initiatives within the unit, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and best practices.•Ensure that all patient documentation is completed accurately and promptly, including birth records and delivery notes.•Competitive Salary, Housing Assistance, Visa and relocation support, other governmental benefits are applicable for this role.
•Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.•Valid Nursing License (SCFHS Preferred) or equivalent Home Country License.•Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, with at least 3 year in a charge nurse or leadership role.•Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.•In-depth knowledge of obstetric care, including labor, delivery, postpartum care, and neonatal resuscitation.•Ability to lead, supervise, and provide mentorship to nursing staff.•Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, particularly in emergency situations.•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.•Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.•Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.•Fluency in English (proficiency in Arabic is a plus
