Deaconess Midtown Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical Unit. In this role, you'll provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adults with diverse medical and post-surgical needs in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care based on individualized plans
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, and respond to changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and recovery
- Document care accurately and adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards
Required:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana (or compact license)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- (Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within a specified time frame)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification (CMSRN) or pursuit of specialty certification
- 1+ years of RN experience in a medical-surgical or acute care setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic)
