The Medical Assistant is responsible for participating in the provision of professional nursing care to patients under the supervision of Registered Nurses, Providers, and the Practice Manager.

Participate in patient care in-person, via phone screening, and telehealth under provider supervision.

Administer prescribed medications, treatments, immunizations, and perform point-of-care testing.

Collect and screen patient history and health-related information, and communicate findings to providers.

Relay provider instructions and care plans to patients.

Accurately document procedures, interventions, communications, and test results in the medical record.

High school diploma or GED required.

Completion of a Medical Assistant program or 3 years of equivalent experience.

Current BLS/CPR certification required.

One year of experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting preferred.
