Clinical Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Albany, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Rotating weekends and holidays required)

The Clinical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our physicians and clinical team to ensure exceptional care and a positive experience for our patients. This role involves hands-on patient care, supporting procedures, and maintaining efficient clinical operations.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

Assist Physicians with clinical procedures

Follow proper protocols for all procedures

Practice phlebotomy

Accurately document ultrasound measurements, Provider comments and use appropriate stim templates while chaperoning ultrasounds.

Clean exam rooms and equipment per protocol.

Set up and stock examination and procedure rooms.

Maintain clinical supplies inventory.

Specimen collection, processing for in-house and outside laboratories.

Manage Lanfax for outside labs, reports, results. Enter results and email to Provider team for review.

Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance/comfort before, during and after procedures.
Education & Certification Requirements

Certified Medical Assistant Program – REQUIRED

Phlebotomy Certification – REQUIRED
Position Requirements/Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist in a physician’s office

Prior experience in women’s healthcare – preferred

Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel – Required

Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) – Preferred
