Junior–Midlevel Embryologist – Gameto Inc.
Location: New York City, NY or Austin, TX
Travel: Frequent U.S. travel required
Pay Range: $80,000 to $110,000 plus bonuses
Job Summary
Gameto is seeking a highly adaptable Junior–Midlevel Embryologist to support a Phase 3 clinical trial and assist in the implementation of our global commercial and clinical research programs. This role is ideal for an embryologist with strong clinical IVF experience who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Responsibilities include conducting site initiation visits (SIVs), providing hands-on training, supporting small-follicle oocyte retrieval protocols, troubleshooting trial procedures, and collaborating with investigators to ensure compliance and clinical excellence.
This is a field-facing role requiring strong communication, technical competence, and a passion for advancing women’s health through innovative reproductive technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Trial Support & Training
- Conduct on-site and remote training for IVF clinic staff during Site Initiation Visits.
- Train teams on:
- Fertilo system operation and handling
- Trial-specific small-follicle oocyte retrieval protocols
- Embryology workflow integration and data collection requirements
- Provide real-time technical troubleshooting and procedural support for embryologists, physicians, and nurses during protocol adoption.
- Validate equipment readiness, review checklists, and document training per ICH-GCP and FDA standards.
- Identify and escalate deviations, user errors, or equipment issues to sponsor/CRO teams.
Clinical Engagement & Site Management
- Collaborate with clinical trial leads, site coordinators, and sponsor representatives to ensure staff are certified and compliant with study protocols.
- Monitor site performance, capture and report feedback, and ensure adherence to SOPs.
- Support U.S. trial rollout with frequent travel to IVF centers nationwide.
Commercial & Research Program Support
- Partner with lab directors, embryologists, and practitioners to integrate Gameto’s IVM product, Fertilo, into IVF practices.
- Assist with global research program management: data collection, site audits, deviation reporting, and research collaboration.
- Deliver scientific presentations at conferences, clinic meetings, and customer events to share clinical insights and promote adoption of Fertilo.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Reproductive Biology, Embryology, or related Life Sciences.
- 2+ years of clinical embryology experience in an IVF setting, including oocyte retrieval support, denudation, insemination, and embryo handling.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting embryology procedures, equipment, and device integration.
- Comfort with training clinical teams and presenting technical material to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable with the ability to work independently.
- Valid U.S. work authorization, driver’s license, and willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting Phase 2/3 clinical trials or fertility-related rollouts.
- Knowledge of GCP, FDA, and IRB standards for investigational reproductive devices.
- Familiarity with investigational product studies or IVF clinical research coordination.
- Knowledge of EDC systems, lab QA/QC, or FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
- Previous experience as a clinical applications specialist, field trainer, or KOL liaison.
