Due to planned expansion we are excited to invite applications for a Consultant Anaesthetist specialising in the provision of Anaesthesia for Obstetrics within the Birmingham Women's Hospital (BWH) to join 13 other Consultant Anaesthetists working at BWH. Alongside the Obstetric sessions the post offers the successful candidate an opportunity to complete their job plan with a wide variety of sessions at BWH and QEHB. On-call commitments will be on the Obstetric on-call rota which covers emergency obstetrics and gynaecology.
The Birmingham Women's Hospital adjoins the QEHB site. Anaesthetic services for Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Fertility are provided by the QEHB Anaesthetic Department through a Service Level Agreement. The hospital, in partnership with UHB, is the Maternal Medicine Regional Network Hub also housing the Regional Neonatal Unit and Foetal Medicine Department.
