As a Research Assistant for the ECOSYS ( Empowering Caregivers Of Suicidal Youth through novel digital Solutions ) project, you'll play a vital role in exploring innovative digital solutions to support caregivers of suicidal youth. You'll gain valuable experience in e-mental health technologies and youth suicide prevention, working directly with Dr Daniel Gan at Orygen , CYMH. This role offers you the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking intervention research and make a real difference in mental health outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Research Data Collection : Create and monitor online surveys using REDCap , conduct participant interviews, and assist with project development and ethics applications.
Collaborate with Stakeholders : Work effectively with University of Melbourne internal stakeholders and peak carer bodies to support the project.
Project Management : Organise meetings, maintain project records, and supp ort project leads in establishing advisory grou ps.
Analyse and Report Findings : Collect and analyse data, draft reports, and contribute to papers for publication.

You are a dedicated professional with experience in mental health research or related fields, possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and with diverse stakeholders.
Have demonstrated experience in designing and implementing research projects in mental health or related areas.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Have highly developed administrative skills for organising meetings and maintaining project records.
Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
