Summary
Promotes and Restores patients’ health by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients and patients’ families.
Clinical/Technical Responsibilities:
- Performs monitoring & non-monitoring ultrasounds, such as mock cycles, suppression checks, FET, and clomid checks and imaging during embryo transfers.
- Provides medication instructions for IVF cycles including schedules, dosage, and administration.
- Provides Continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
- Coordinates and assists with cycle programs as needed.
- Provides general women’s health information and education to patients.
- Performs complete history with screening physical exam, including review of systems, general and pelvic exams including cultures, intrauterine insemination, PK tests, and uterine sounding.
- Complete Hx, ultrasounds, physicals, and labs for donor patients.
- Follow up on Ovarian Hyperstimulation syndrome.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Uses clinical computer software.
- Performs phlebotomy and medication administration.
- Performs first trimester OB ultrasounds.
- Manages Ambulatory GYN complaints throughout patient treatment, as necessary based on program protocols.
- Telephone triage patient phone calls.
- Provides referrals to appropriate MDs as necessary based findings.
- Reviews lab data and prescribes when necessary, according to established protocols.
- Acts as clinical resource for support staff.
- Acts as preceptor in training clinical staff.
- Interacts with physicians, counselors, embryologists, ultra-sonographers, medical assistants, lab staff, financial and administrative staff for delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Completes appropriate paperwork for patient billing.
- Works cooperatively to meet the goals of the program.
- Demonstrates understanding of providing cost effective care.
- Appropriate participation in marketing/promotion
- Other duties as assigned
Team Interaction
- Acts as an active participant on teams giving input and ideas, treating other team members with respect.
- Assists other clinical departments as needed.
- Covers weekends and holidays as assigned.
- Directs patients to financial departments for assistance.
- Attend meetings as requested or notifies organizer if unable to attend.
- Assist with maintaining computerized patient charts.
- Approves and coordinates time off requests for clinical staff.
General Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations and calling for assistance from other healthcare support personnel when appropriate.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Ensures operation of equipment by following manufacturer’s instructions; reporting malfunctions helping to evaluate new equipment and techniques.
- Complies with federal state and local legal professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management and physicians on needed action/changes.
- Participates in professional societies.
- Follows all state regulations regarding professional license
- Ensures confidentiality of all patients’ records and care per confidentiality policy
- Utilizes financial department to provide appropriate information to patients and ensures that patients are financially clearing before beginning of treatment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Physician Assistant Degree
- Current state license without limitations required.
- Preferred 2 years experience in an area of women’s health
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
- Knowledge of the office procedures and office machines. (i.e., Computer, fax, copier, etc.)
- Ability to work as part of a muti-disciplinary team.
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately to all stressful situations.
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $109,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
