Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both administrative and clinical support, ensuring efficient patient care within our office. The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality medical services while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical history and vital signs.
- Provide medical administrative support, including managing patient records.
- Phlebotomy
- Perform basic life support procedures as needed.
- Support healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare staff to enhance patient service.
- Assist in emergency medicine situations as required, demonstrating quick thinking and effective response.
- Participate in medical-surgical procedures under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy to assist in various medical tasks effectively.
Experience
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
- Previous experience in an OBGYN office is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of basic life support techniques and emergency response protocols.
- Experience providing patient service is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures is necessary for success in this role.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) required.
