Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Midwife to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum periods. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, ensuring that each woman receives the support and guidance she needs during this critical time in her life. The Midwife will work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, collaborating closely with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to monitor the health and progress of expectant mothers.
- Provide prenatal care, including routine check-ups, screenings, and education on pregnancy-related topics.
- Assist in labor and delivery, offering support and guidance to patients throughout the birthing process.
- Perform medical documentation accurately to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Facilitate specimen collection processing as needed for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide postpartum care and education to new mothers regarding infant care and maternal health.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients during their hospital stay.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to pregnancy and childbirth.
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and medical documentation practices.
- Experience with venipuncture for blood draws as part of routine assessments.
- Ability to work effectively in both outpatient clinics and inpatient hospital settings.
- Excellent communication skills to foster trust and rapport with patients.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patients' needs effectively.
- Previous experience as a nurse is advantageous but not mandatory.
