Overview
The Network Administrator is responsible for managing the network infrastructure (Cisco Meraki), including cloud services (Azure), phone systems, and key applications and providing technical support to the Information Technology department team. This role is responsible for ensuring network security, implementing and maintaining firewalls, virtual private network (VPNs), and access controls, and conducting risk assessments to prevent unauthorized access or data breaches. The Network Administrator also documents systems and processes, maintains current knowledge of hardware and software. Supports the organization’s strategic plan and workplace inclusion initiatives. Ensures productivity expectations, customer service and compliance standards are maintained. Abides by the organization’s mission in performing job duties. Responsibilities
Performs maintenance to Azure Virtual Servers and installs upgrades to local area network (LAN), metropolitan area network (MAN) and wide area network (WAN) as required including architecture, design and coordinating assistance from third parties when appropriate.
- Configures networks based on system requirements and conducts appropriate testing.
- Assists in providing computer/network/voice support relating to software and hardware problems and requests reported by users.
- Configures and maintains network firewalls, Mail filters, virtual private network (VPN) peer tunnels, Firewall and Network Security maintenance and reporting.
- Maintains expert level knowledge of routers, switches, security appliances, server and network operating systems and application software.
- Monitors and evaluates efficiency of software/hardware usage.
- Interacts with primary and support network vendors and carriers.
- Ensures team members receive appropriate instruction and training to efficiently utilize available technology
- Installs new and updated Operating Systems, Software Applications or Hardware on the LAN, and coordinates assistance from third parties when necessary.
- Responsible for maintaining network security and addressing system vulnerabilities.
- Assists in installation of workstations and printers on the LAN.
- Adds and maintains users on the network; assigns application access, ensures security and access, and maintains that configurations are within standards.
- Monitors security applications, VPN tunnels, ensures firewall is secure, and monitors for potential security threats or breaches.
- Maintains and monitors Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Prevention appliances, monitors and reports anomalies to supervisor.
- Maintains specialty applications and interface reports/data.
- Monitors, assesses, and reports on the statuses for hardware, software, and vendor maintenance contracts at regular intervals.
- Utilizes technology to provide staff with a fast accurate and secure method of gaining access to information so they can service the customer in the fastest and most efficient manner possible.
- Manages and maintains Active Directory.
- Manages and maintains the Cisco Unified Communications Environment including Unity Voice Mail.
- Ensures that all Microsoft and installed network appliances are properly patched and configured for optimal functionality.
- Has unrestricted access to patient protected health information (PHI) on paper and electronic forms health records for purposes of treatment, payment, and/or healthcare operations. The use of a patient’s protected health information should be limited to information needed for the specific task that is being performed or requested by the individual patient. Disclosure of any patient information must be for purposes of treatment, payment or healthcare operation OR must be accompanied by a valid patient authorization. Must adhere to minimum necessary rule.

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent + 6 years of related experience or IT-related Associate’s degree + 4 years of related experience or IT-related Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of related experience.
Related experience: server/client, network administration or related.
Cisco Meraki and/or Microsoft Certification preferred.
