ODGS Open Door Gynecology Services
Compensation: $136,227.00 to 156,153.60 (no call, clinic only)

SUMMARY: Provides medical care and treatment to gynecological patients across the lifespan, under supervision of Gynecologist (or Physician). Typical duties include but are not limited to women’s health and general gynecological care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts comprehensive assessments, physical exams, well women care, and health screenings focused on gynecological and reproductive health.

Diagnoses and manages acute and chronic gynecological conditions including vaginitis, recurrent UTI, contraception, abnormal bleeding, prolapse, incontinence, PCOS, hormone replacement, pelvic pain, endometriosis, colposcopies, vulvar biopsies, endometrial biopsies.

Educates patients on contraception, fertility, menopause, STI prevention, and overall wellness.

Orders and performs laboratory and screening tests in accordance with approved protocols or standardized procedures.

Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, such as labs and imaging studies.

Discusses cases with Gynecologist (or Physician) to assure observation of specified practices.

Works with supervising Gynecologist (or Physician) to refer complex GYN issues.

Prescribes medications and manages treatment plans.

Collaborates with providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.

Maintains accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR)

Provides counseling and support for patients facing reproductive health challenges, including infertility or pregnancy loss.

Attends and participates in meetings and Quality Assurance activities as required.

Identifies problems related to patient services and makes recommendations for improvement

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work as a member of a team in order to communicate and/or solicit pertinent information to and from other team members and support team decisions.

Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal. Ability to establish constructive working relationships with all levels of management and employees in a staff of varied and diverse backgrounds.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to effectively represent ODCHC’s interests in the community and maintain effective working relationships among co-workers, public, private, and professional groups.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
-
Master’s degree or higher, from accredited program as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Certified Nurse Midwife.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Current California certification in Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant, (PA), or Certified Nurse Midwifery (CNM)

Current DEA license

Current CPR license
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is largely a clinic-based position. The physical requirements described are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
