▪ Avg Daily Census – 21 patients
- Minimum Years of Experience required: 18 months Med/Tele experience
- Will you accept a first-time traveler? Not preferred, will consider
- Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- Chest Pain, Rule out Stroke, Syncope, Dizziness, Respiratory Illness, a Variety of Diagnoses
- Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement)
- Ratios:
- RN: 1:4-5
- CNA: Days 1:7; Nights 1:10
- Skills required:
- General Med/Tele skillset: Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc), PCA pumps
- Medication gtt management to include: Cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF
- Support within the Department:
- Supervisor
- Charge RN – free floating
- RT, 24/7 – not dedicated to this unit specifically
- Hospitalist, 24/7 - not dedicated to this unit specifically
- Phlebotomy: Combined effort between RNs, IV team
- IV/VAT Team
- Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- IV Pumps: Alaris
- Med Dispensing: Omnicell
- Floating:
- Within region and scope of practice
- Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable

Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises

If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
- Orientation (facility and unit):
- NEO
- 2 days departmental
- Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: every other
- Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
- RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
- Shift times: 0650-1910; 1850-0710
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
