Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) team. The LPN will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. This position serves as the clinical lead for Medical Assistants and is a key contributor to maintaining regulatory compliance across the division. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, leadership qualities, and a patient-centered approach to care.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Clinical Lead for Medical Assistants; provide guidance, support, and training.

Act as Regulatory Champion and Fire Captain for the department, ensuring ongoing compliance with TJC and HIPAA standards.

Conduct 5-minute drills in collaboration with the Practice Manager to maintain safety and emergency readiness.

Room patients for office visits, ultrasound sessions, and consults, ensuring a smooth and timely patient flow.

Clean and turnover rooms between patients for both office and ultrasound areas.

Perform blood draws, process lab specimens, and complete associated documentation and forms.

Ensure patient care areas are compliant with all regulatory requirements.

Be cross-trained in all areas of the division: Office, Antepartum Testing Unit (ATU), and Ultrasound (US).

Proactively check in with staff and offer assistance throughout the day.

Maintain inventory, manage supply ordering, and keep supply areas organized and fully stocked.

Provide injections and vaccinations as required.

Conduct patient intake and obtain medical records for upcoming appointments.

Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor in all patient and team interactions.

Be a reliable clinical resource for providers and support team collaboration.

Oversee and coordinate office and ultrasound schedules based on session assignments.

Perform Trophon disinfection for ultrasound probes as required.

Assist with chaperoning during sensitive exams in office, US, or ATU settings.

Conduct and document Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) daily.

Assist in backfilling and coverage for team members when needed.

Ensure open communication with the team and actively participate in department operations.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN licensure in the state.

CPR certification required.

Previous experience in OB/GYN or Maternal Fetal Medicine preferred.

Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient safety regulations.

Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
