Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging while providing excellent patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in medical imaging techniques. The Ultrasonographer will work closely with physicians to assist in diagnosing various medical conditions, including those related to obstetrics and gynecology.
Duties
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, and obstetric scans.
- Utilize appropriate imaging techniques and equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess images for abnormalities.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate any concerns they may have.
- Document findings and prepare reports for physicians, ensuring accuracy in medical terminology.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during all procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss patient care plans and imaging results.
- Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology and ultrasound technology.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy is essential.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and equipment operation.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to ultrasound procedures.
- Experience in patient care, demonstrating empathy and effective communication skills.
- Understanding of aseptic technique principles to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Previous experience or training in diagnostic radiology or Ob/Gyn ultrasound is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification or licensure as an Ultrasonographer is required.

Pay: $1,807.36 - $2,176.61 per week
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
