If you are a friendly, dedicated and a self-motivated medical billing and office specialist and you would like to make a difference by helping create families please apply for an immediate position with Male Fertility & Sexual Medicine Specialists (MFS). The practice is seeking a PART TIME billing / office specialist (16 hours per week, Monday through Friday) for office responsibilities. The successful candidate will have flexibility of working four 4-hour half days OR two full 8-hour days. The corporation headquarter is in San Diego by UCSD East Campus formerly Alvarado Hospital.
A medical billing and office specialist skill set is the basis to build upon the specific care for male and female urology and reproduction, and you will learn most responsibilities and duties on the job. Previous experience scheduling patients electronically in a medical practice is essential and any knowledge of eClinical Works will be an important hiring advantage. Bilingual speaking is highly recommended for this position.
The successful candidate will perform all duties for a reproductive medicine billing specializing including but not limited to
- Transcription
- Authorization
- Referrals
- Scanning
- Filing
- Phone calls
- Scheduling patients
Candidates should be savvy in operating Microsoft software including Word, Outlook and Excel. Good judgment, organizational ability, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to be self-motivated are especially important. This includes confidentiality at the highest level.
The medical billing and office specialist is a key position within the practice as it reflects the vision, mission, and goals of the corporation. As the position interfaces with our providers, the laboratory and the staff, accuracy, and detail in performing each job is an absolute requirement.
Candidates with the ability to translate, speak and write in any other foreign language such as Spanish will receive preference. Compensation will be based on knowledge, experience and training but generally be between 21.50 dollars per hour.
