As a key member of the local HR team in Lisbon, you will be partner with Global Corporate functions with teams based in Lisbon. You will be responsible for promoting and supporting an inclusive, engaging, inspiring and high-performing environment based in Lisbon. You will collaborate regularly with HR colleagues in global CoE (Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits etc. ) to provide best-in-class HR support, advice and leadership.
Your Day at Ferring
As HR Business Partner, you are actively contributing to improve efficiency to ensure a consistent, professional and inspiring employee experience. You are playing a key role in liaising with key stakeholders, advocating best HR practices and delivering our people strategy in an engaging and sustained manner.
- Serve as the key HR point of contact and trusted Business Partner mainly for Lisbon-based Corporate Functions to support effectively company’s strategy and objectives. Act as HR Business Partner back-up for other functions.
- Partner with Leadership and Management teams to execute the People strategy while delivering high quality service to the employees and leaders in a context of cultural change and transformation.
- Provide group and one-on-one coaching to support leadership development, business decision-making and performance management.
- Ensure measurement of HR processes/projects to improve effectiveness.
- Represent HR function for the assigned functions.
- Provide advice on performance and related issues and coach leaders through the performance improvement processes.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition team and relevant Global HR Business Partners on recruitment activities.
- Manage HR activities related to employee life cycle (including recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, performance management, merit increase, promotions, internal transfers, absence management) for the assigned functions in close cooperation with the HR Operations team.
- Be the matter-subject expert on Employment Relations and Labor Law in Portugal - Manage employee relation issues with managers, in close partnership with HR Operations, external legal advisors and other parts per needed.
- Participate, facilitate and coordinate annual performance review, talent management and succession planning processes.
- Ensure continuous improvement of service standards and alignment with company policies and programs and industry best practices.
- Act as voice of the customer on Global HR Projects. Partnering with Global HR community on key initiatives such as the Employee Engagement Survey, HR processes & tools and policies.
Behind our innovation…There’s you
- Have a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree strongly preferred), in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology or equivalent.
- 8 to 10 Years overall experience and minimum of 5 years as HR Business Partner in a global/matrix organisation. Experience in Portugal labor law, performance management etc.
- Have a strong knowledge of and hands-on experience applying the key HR disciplines (organizational development, change management, coaching, compensation, rewards, benefits, learning and development, Portuguese employment law, Employee Relations).
- Knowledge of Portugal Employment Law. Compensation & Benefits expertise will be valued.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and business partnering skills with high level of perseverance, proactivity and accountability.
- Excellent listening skills, presentation and communication skills, facilitation and coaching skills.
- Business acumen, analytical and problem solving.
- Have a broad knowledge of HR information systems (note that Ferring uses Workday, ServiceNow and Cornerstone). Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent English.
