The Ultrasonographer will support the needs of our patients and facility by way of performing the necessary ultrasounds.
Hours are from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (flexible end-time). Rotating Saturday and Sunday hours will be from 7 a.m. to noon. Expectation to float to satellite offices if staffing needs arise.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Obtain measurements and calculations of female anatomy while performing a detailed ultrasound examination.
- Utilize techniques that result in optimized images.
- Obtain appropriate images that clearly demonstrate ultrasound findings in accordance with specified protocols and accreditation standards.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding pertinent ultrasound findings in a concise, complete and accurate manner.
- Perform departmental tasks that are necessary to maintaining quality throughout all aspects of job duties performed.
- Document results utilizing our electronic medical records system.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited program resulting in the certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or DMS is required.
- Must be able to function independently.
- Must possess the ability to work collaboratively with the clinical team.
- Must possess the interpersonal skills needed to communicate effectively with patients, staff and medical personnel.
- OB-GYN experience is highly preferred.
