Your Impact as Policy Lead
The Policy Lead is a key member of the Advocacy & Communications team, responsible for leading ICM's policy and advocacy activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advocacy Strategy Development and Implementation: writing and implementing advocacy strategies to drive action on midwifery and sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn and adolescent health (SRMNAH)
- Policy Analysis and Engagement: monitor developments, identify opportunities and building relationships
- Member Support and relationship Building: build the capacity of our members to advocate for themselves and drive policy change in-country
- Campaign Leadership and Coalition Engagement: plan impactful campaigns from grassroots to the highest level
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in policy or advocacy related to midwifery, SRMNAH, gender, global or public health
- In depth understanding of political, legislative and regulatory environments
- Sophisticated analytical skills
- Experience in preparing high quality written communications for a range of audiences
- A self-starter with a flexible, pragmatic approach
Candidates must be based in the Netherlands and have the eligibility to work.
