Job Purpose:
The Genetic Counseloris a ABGC board-certified or board-eligible genetic counselor. This position will work with both patients and staff across our U.S. sites. This is a responsible position that must work with minimal instruction or direction and demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

Provides genetic risk assessment and counseling to patients or couples who are being seen for a variety of reproductive indications.

Supports clinical staff in assessing appropriateness of genetic testing, evaluating and interpreting results and facilitating additional testing or evaluation as required.

Educates staff on genetic topics as required.

Remains abreast of new and emerging technologies in reproductive genetics.

Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations core values and incorporates them into the performance of duties.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Academic Training:
-
Master’s degree from an accredited genetic counseling program
-
Studies level: Master's Degree
-
Studies area: Accredited Genetic Counseling Program
-
ABGC Certification or a “Board Eligible” status.

Please note: The successful candidate must become certified within five years of date of graduation from Master’s program. Must maintain certification during tenure. Incumbent must also re-certify every five years per ABGC policies and procedures.

Position Requirements/Experiences:

Previous experience within ART/IVF genetic counseling - preferred
Technical Skills:

Computer proficiency - required

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
