The Ultrasound Tech (Registered - Maternal Fetal Medicine) will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures and educating patients throughout the ultrasound exam. Reviewing patient medical history, recording imaging results in patient records, and coordinating care with providers along with various departments within the hospital, clinics, and referring offices.
Responsibilities:
- Produce ultrasound studies with quality required/expected by physician.

Transfer studies to the reading station.

Assist providers with questions regarding equipment/reading station.

Prepare patient for exam.

Educate patient throughout exam.

Obtain patient consent as needed on appropriate forms.

Troubleshoot all testing equipment.

Alert clinic manager or director of any problems with equipment.

Maintain BLS certification and assist physician with codes and other patient emergencies.

Maintain neat and clean clinical area.

Attend various meetings and professional development programs and requested/needed.

Abide by OSHA and HIPPA guidelines.

Maintain patient and practice confidentiality.

Exhibit professional demeanor at all times with patients, caregivers, family members, providers, and coworkers.

All other duties as assigned by providers and clinic manager/director.
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate from an accredited ultrasonography program
- BLS certification required
- ARDMS or ARRT(S) Registry Required
- At least 1 year of experience required
- Maternal Fetal Medicine/High Risk Pregnancy ultrasound experience preferred
