We are seeking a skilled General Surgery Physician Assistant for a 16-day locum tenens assignment in New York, beginning on Sep 1, 2025. - Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday, 7 am-3 pm or 7 am-5 pm
- Weekend rounding for Sep 6-7, 8 am-12 pm
- Potential for a call shift every Tuesday from 5 pm-7 am
Responsibilities and Duties- First assisting in the operating room across various surgical procedures.
- Work collaboratively with surgical teams in OBGYN and orthopedic cases.
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients.
- Support emergency procedures in trauma (Level III trauma experience necessary).
- Utilize robotic surgical systems as needed, enhancing surgical precision and recovery times.
Additional Information- Must be board certified in General Surgery.
- Active NY license required.
- Recent experience with Epic EMR systems is essential.
- Strong skills in trauma and robotics surgery are highly preferred.
- Certifications required:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
