Gynaecologist
PPG Emersons Green, Bristol
Full-time; 40 hours per week (4x10hr days)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our multi-discipline medical team within our CQC rated "Good" Hospital in Bristol. You will be a highly valued member of our team bringing your expertise and skills in non-Obstetric Gynaecology procedures.
As a Practice Plus Group Consultant you will have access to great facilities in a well-structured and relaxed environment. We offer high quality day case and inpatient treatments in a wide range of specialties and deliver excellent clinical care.
Reporting to the Hospital Medical Director, you will manage and lead a multi-professional team and perform a range of non-Obstetric Gynaecological procedures; extensive laparoscopic experience is essential for this role.
You will be treating both NHS and private patients referred to the Hospital, working in accordance with hospital protocols and working practices. This will include providing in and out-patient care for patients with common gynaecological problems such as menstrual disorders and urogynaecological symptoms.

What you'll be doing

We have strong control processes to ensure we maintain high standards of hygiene and above all, we’re passionate about giving our patients the best possible care and helping them feel better, faster.
Procedures include:
- minor/intermediate procedures of the vagina, cervix, uterus, and fallopian tubes such as hysteroscopy, endometrial sampling, endometrial ablations, laparoscopy, tubal sterilizations, insertion/removal of MIRENAs etc
- Major procedures to include Vaginal Hysterectomy, Colporrhaphy, abdominal hysterectomy, fascial sling etc
- Skills in the management of endometriosis would be an advantage.
- Skills to be able to do total laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy, laparoscopic excision of endometriosis and hysteroscopic resection of fibroids would be an advantage.

- UK registerable Medical Degree.
- MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification.
- Relevant CCT or equivalent.
- Past record of academic achievement
- Full and Specialist GMC Registration in relevant speciality
