Community Clinical Nurse Educator
Reports to: Director of Nursing

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position:
This role organizes and teaches education classes to the community.
Essential Job Function:

Organizes all classes materials

Completes required documents related to classes, rosters and other documentation

Instructs approved education classes, adheres to established curriculum

Communicates and interacts effectively with program manager regarding the needs of education classes

Responsible for set up and breakdown of classes

Maintain high standards on all evaluations received from class participants

Participates in scheduled educator meetings
-
Participates in other education activities as needed

Licensing/Certification
Current RN License in the state in which they are working or covered by compact (required)
Basic Life Support-American Heart Association (required)
Certified Childbirth Education-International Childbirth Education Association, Lamaze (preferred)
Certified Lactation Consultant-International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (preferred)
Education
Bachelor of Education or related field (preferred)
Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred)
Work Experience
2 years of experience in women’s health (preferred)
5 years of experience in teaching environment (preferred)
Training
Proficient in Microsoft Office (required)
Basic computer skills (required)
