Position Summary:
The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner will deliver advanced primary and specialty healthcare services, managing both acute and chronic conditions while promoting healthy habits and long-term wellness. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians and clinical teams to deliver holistic, patient-centered care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients within scope of practice
- Obtain complete medical histories and perform comprehensive physical exams
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and imaging
- Develop and manage individualized care plans based on best practices
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and preventive health
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists for comprehensive care coordination
- Provide urgent care services including CPR and laceration repair
- Accurately document patient encounters in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Participate in quality improvement and annual health planning initiatives
- Support coverage at other clinic locations during staffing needs
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Board certification (NP)
- Licensed to practice in South Carolina
- CPR certification required
Experience & Skills:
- Community health, FQHC, or public health experience strongly preferred
- Fluent or conversational Spanish a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-need clinical settings

- Work life balance: NCFM is closed all major holidays. Our staff work Monday through Friday 8 to 5pm and a half-day occasional Saturday rotation (approximately every 4–6 weeks)
Work Environment:
- Busy outpatient clinic settings with moderate noise levels
- Regular exposure to standard clinical and lab environments
- Travel to other NCFMC sites may be required on occasion
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift up to 10 pounds, and perform physical tasks typical of a healthcare provider
