Position: Procedural Medical Assistant
Reports to: Health Center Manager
Position Hourly Pay: $22.25 per hour
If you have an active medical assistant certification (CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or RMA): $23.62 per hour

This is the job for you if you are excited to be in the medical field and are looking to learn medical skills including blood draws and collecting and processing lab samples. You have a high school degree, GED or High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma, and want to provide excellent patient care to all no matter what.
Spanish-speaking candidates preferred but not required.

Schedule: Alternating Schedule, Benefits Eligible
Week 1: 37hrs/week
Monday: 8am - 5pm
Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 8am - 6pm
Week 2: 32hrs/week
Monday: 8am - 5pm
Tuesday & Wednesday: 8am - 5pm
Saturday: 8am - 3pm
The Objective: To support the health care team in providing quality reproductive health care, including procedural abortion services.
Success: You will know you are successful when the provider is supported in providing quality care in compliance with regulations and key performance indicators, and the patient is provided exceptional patient care experience.
Snapshot: You will spend much of your day on your feet and on the move. You will support the clinician in providing care through direct patient contact such as vitals, phlebotomy, and equipment sterilization, etc. You will be required to operate in a highly regulated medical and laboratory environment, keeping strict confidentiality, infection control, and medical protocols. You will lift boxes and unpack supplies. You will work with vulnerable patient populations.

Primary Areas of Responsibility/Essential Functions:
Under the supervision and delegation of the ordering provider, you will support the provider in a culturally competent and destigmatizing patient-centered manner in compliance with all regulations, including but not limited to PPRM’s Medical Standards & Guidelines, pharmacy, HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA regulations.

Operations: You will assist with the upkeep of the health center operations in a variety of ways to facilitate all aspects of patient care, maintaining an organized and effective worksite, and jump in to support the team.
Abortion Care: We all work in abortion care, whether it is referrals, information, education, counseling, performing, scheduling, etc. In this role, you will provide direct care and services for patients who have or may be seeking abortion care with PPRM.
